Understand the failure first.
A site assessment would trace the interruption through the existing distribution network: leaks, damaged connections, isolation points, and other faults. The repair would be scoped around the actual failure.
A live project page will explain who uses the system, how the failure affects their water access, what evidence supports the estimates, and why the proposed repair is the appropriate response.
Proposed repair pathway.
- Map the affected section and identify which collection points are out of service.
- Confirm repair materials, access requirements, and a workable installation plan.
- Repair damaged sections and connections with appropriate specialist support.
- Test delivery, inspect for leaks, and record service at the affected points.
This is an example scope. It must be replaced with a site-specific assessment and approved work plan before fundraising.
A budget you can inspect.
Example allocation in USD, shown to demonstrate how costs will be explained.
| Example cost category | USD |
|---|---|
| Assessment & design | $600 |
| Pipes, fittings & valves | $2,400 |
| Installation labor | $1,400 |
| Transport & access | $500 |
| Testing & handover | $500 |
| Contingency | $600 |
| Total example budget | $6,000 |
A real campaign will state which costs are included, any allocated operating costs, the contingency basis, and how changes or remaining funds will be handled. Estimates and actual expenditure will be shown separately.
Who delivers—and who maintains it.
A live record will identify delivery responsibilities, technical support, and the arrangements agreed with the people responsible for the system. Maintenance readiness is something FIELDWATER aims to strengthen through the project.
Parts, local access, specialist availability, and permissions may change timing. Campaign updates will explain those changes rather than imply a fixed completion date without evidence.
Evidence after the repair.
- Before-and-after system condition and a record of the work performed.
- Functionality checks and relevant water-quality testing.
- Actual costs against the original budget, with changes explained.
- Reach estimates with their method and limitations.
- Handover, follow-up arrangements, and any unresolved issues.
This same page will become the project report. No outcomes will be marked verified without supporting evidence.
Progress and updates.
No field activity recorded.
This is a restoration example, not an assessed candidate. A live campaign will show assessment, approved scope, fundraising, delivery, verification, and follow-up as distinct stages, with dated updates.
