Why the first initiative
comes before the ask.
FIELDWATER is starting with a deliberately planned, internally funded initiative in Malawi. The goal is to establish evidence from real work before asking the public to fund what follows.
That first record needs more than a completion photograph. It needs the initial condition, the repair decision, the costs, testing, and an honest account of what still needs attention.

More than one possibility.
Project Zero’s $15,000 field ceiling is shared across the initiative. Several suitable smaller repairs may achieve more than one large intervention. Spending the full amount is not the goal.
The scope will follow assessment, practical delivery constraints, and the strength of each opportunity. No sites or outcomes are being announced before that work is done.
